Welcome! I didn't start out with dreams of becoming a hairstylist.  I actually wanted to be an accountant, but I always loved the fashion and beauty industry.  In 1995 I started school to become an Aesthetician.  After working in a salon for a few years and overcoming my extreme shyness,  I began to realize I needed a more creative outlet and hair was my passion.  In 1999, I entered Cosmetology School.  My love for all things hair and my dream of someday owning my own salon was born.
When the opportunity came for me to purchase the salon I was working in, I knew it was fate.  In June, 2011 my dream became a reality.  It was my goal to provide stylists a place where they love to come to work, where we work together as a team and feel like a family.  I feel I have accomplished this.
Education, my fellow stylists, our guests and my son keep me motivated and Inspired.  I love attending classes!  This industry is always changing.  Classes keep me up to date on all the latest trends and techniques so I can bring them back to the salon and to you, the guest.
As a stylist, I believe in working one on one with you to come up with a hairstyle and/or color that best suits you, your hair type, your personal style and your lifestyle.  I love creating a style for you that makes your feel beautiful and confident.
When not in the salon or home working on salon business, I love hanging out with  my son, Charles. We love to go for walks with our dog Sally, have dance parties in our kitchen or attend music class.  He has brought a new found motivation into my life.  He makes me push even harder to stay successful and always keep moving forward.
I look forward to seeing you at CR Salon!

Meet Heather,

Senior Stylist

Hi! I have met many of you over the years, for those of you I haven't met yet, I'd like to introduce myself and tell you a little about me.  I have officially been in the beauty industry since 2002.  I knew at a very young age that I was going to be a hair stylist.  I grew up styling all the neighborhood kids hair and decided to attend Emmet O'brien Technical School for high School and graduated with my Cosmetology license.
I have been working with Cindy since 2005.  She has made the salon a great place to work.  She is always keeping us up to date with classes and the newest trends.
I love being able to be creative.  One of my favorite things to do at the salon is creative color.  I have always had such a love for creating fun and beautiful colors for my guests.   When I am not at work loving what I do, I continue my creativity at home crocheting and making organic beauty products.  My husband always tells me I would make a great kindergarten teacher because my love of crafts, art and children.  I hope my daughter will one day enjoy creating amazing things for the world like I do.
For all the new guests, thank you for reading about me and I look forward to seeing you at CR Salon.  To all who already know my crazy self, thank you for all your support over the years, I would not be successful with out you.

Meet Ashley, Stylist

Hello Everyone! Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be a stylist.  So, I decided to follow my passion and went to Paul Mitchell The School and got my cosmetology license.  I have been doing hair since 2012 and a part of CR Salon's team since 2014.
I really enjoy being a stylist here at CR Salon.  The clients are friendly and my fellow co-workers are very talented and kind.  I couldn't ask to work with better team members.
I love to make people feel good about themselves.  Whether your getting a cut and style, a color, hilites, or an updo, I want you to feel beautiful when you leave the salon.  My goal is to listen to your needs and concerns so I can create a unique style for you and your lifestyle.  It is important to me to educate my guest on how to manage their style.  Keeping the integrity of your hair is always my #1 priority.
I believe continuing my education is very important.  I invest my time in furthering my education so I can learn the newest techniques and styles to bring to my guest.
Thank you for taking the time to read about me.  I am looking forward to meeting and working with you!
My Work

Meet Ana, associate stylist and makeup artist

Hi, my name is Ana Mejia and I am the  newest member of the CR Salon team.  I have been hairdressing for a little over a year now.  I started off as a freelance makeup artist.  I feel as though the attention to detail and creativity that comes with makeup has also transitioned into my detail with hair.  I love doing every type of hair project, from cuts to color, your simple root retouch to bright vivids that make you stand out.  I love doing it all and I love making my guests feel beautiful.  I am so excited to meet everyone.

Meet Analisa,

Senior Stylist

Hi, I'm back!!!!!!!  Recent unforeseen circumstances have postponed my plans of leaving the business.  I made the decision to not completely leave CR Salon at this time because it is a familiar place for me, and has always been a tremendous source of support, leaving now would just add to the vast changes happening in my life.  When you've worked in the industry as long as I have, it becomes a part of you.  Your coworkers become family and your clients become good friends.  I have been so blessed to have worked with so many great people over the years.

For those who don't know me, I have been a hairstylist since 1992.  It is hard to believe that I have been in the beauty industry this long, as the saying goes "time flies when you are having fun!"  But as much as I love the hair industry, I am also a science nerd.  I love to know how everything works on a molecular level, or how the chemicals that we use interact with each other,  So, thinking of my future, I went back to school 5 years ago, and I am currently working on my B.S. in Biology at Central Connecticut State University.

I have seen many trends come and go.......some come back......and thankfully, some stay in the past.  Staying up to date is [art of being a successful stylist, as well as being able to effectively guide my clients through their hair care decisions.  I consider their life style, hair type, personality and ability.  I facilitate this process by combining active listening skills, respecting the individual, considering their likes and dislikes, by being truthful, and applying my technical skills in hair coloring, cutting, and styling.  Cindy creates a clean, welcoming, team based environment that is focused on education, professional growth, and client satisfaction.  We have worked together for over 20 years, and I am proud to still be a part of her team.

Meet Katie, Stylist

Hi everyone! I've just joined the CR Salon team, and I'm so excited to be here!

I've been in the beauty industry for 5 years.  I have a writing degree and worked in non-profit immediately after college, but decided to make a career change and follow my more creative side.  It's a life changing experience when you realize you've found your calling!

It's so important to me that every client who sits in my chair leaves feeling beautiful and confident.  Whether you're seeking a minor style change or total transformation, I'm well equipped to conquer any hair that comes my way!

Like my fellow team members, hair education is important to me.  I love keeping up to date with trends - the hair industry is an ever changing one.

When I'm not at the salon, you'll most likely find me on the  couch with coffee and a novel, experimenting in the kitchen, or renovating my house with my husband on our days off together,

I'm looking forward to having new faces become familiar faces!
